The short version: Most of our tools collect nothing. When you create an account, we store only what's needed to provide the service. We never sell your data.
No Account Required
Lotlsoft works entirely without an account.
Lotlsoft Accounts
When you create a Lotlsoft account, we store:
- Email address - Used for login and account recovery
- Password - Stored securely using industry-standard hashing
- Display name - Optional, shown in apps instead of email
- Account creation date
Sessions
When you sign in, we create a session that tracks:
- Browser/device type (user agent)
- IP address (for security monitoring)
- Last active time
You can view and revoke sessions from your account settings.

Data Retention
Your account and data persist until you choose to delete them. You can:
When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Local Storage
Some data is stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers. localStorage persists across reloads and tabs until you clear it:
- preferences - App-specific settings and theme preferences
- game state - Progress in games that work offline
You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking. We use localStorage to save preferences and sessionStorage during the sign-in process.
Analytics
We use our own privacy-focused analytics (Lotl Observe) to collect minimal anonymous usage data:
- Page views - Which pages are visited (no personal data)
- Anonymous identifiers - A random visitor ID to count unique visitors (not linked to your identity)
- Error reports - Technical errors for debugging (no personal data)
We do not use third-party analytics services like Google Analytics.
Third Parties
We do not sell or share your data. The only external services we use are:
- Email delivery - Resend is used to send verification, password reset, and transactional emails
- Hosting - DigitalOcean provides the cloud server infrastructure
- Payment processing - Stripe processes payments for paid apps, via Lotl Pay
Security
We take security seriously:
- All connections use HTTPS encryption
- Passwords are securely hashed
- Rate limiting protects against brute force attacks
- Sessions can be individually revoked
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data (view within the app or export from account settings)
- Correct your data (update profile in account settings)
- Delete your data (from within the app)
- Withdraw consent (sign out and stop using the service)
