Lotlsoft is the landing page for the Lotlsoft tools. It lists the projects and the blog. We count page views and which project tiles get opened, anonymously, on our own service, Lotl Observe. We hold nothing that identifies you unless you choose to subscribe to email updates. No third-party analytics or trackers.

The landing page is a list of project tiles and blog posts. Anonymous telemetry goes to Lotl Observe, a Lotlsoft service: page views, errors, and which project tile was opened. To count visits without cookies, the page keeps a random visitor id in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to an account, and it is not shared across our other sites. The only personal data you can choose to share is your email address, if you subscribe to update emails. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or trackers.

What we collect

We collect and store the following kinds of data, each with its own retention and legal basis:

Account: Your sign-in identity is managed by Lotl Auth, our authentication service (auth.lotlsoft.com). Lotl Auth stores your email, your name if you provided one, and a hash of your password (argon2id). Sign-in issues a short-lived JWT access token (15 minutes) and a refresh token (30 days). Email verification and password resets go through transactional email (Resend).Stored on our server. Kept until you delete it. Legal basis: contract (needed to run the service). Removable when you delete your account. Shared with: Lotl Auth.
Usage telemetry: Page views, crash reports, and which project tile was opened, sent to Lotl Observe so we can see what works and what breaks. Each event carries a random visitor id kept in your browser's local storage, not a name, email or IP address. No third-party analytics.Stored on our server. Kept permanently. Individual events are deleted after 90 days. Daily totals, which identify nobody, are kept. Legal basis: legitimate interests. Not individually deletable. Shared with: Lotl Observe.
Newsletter email: If you subscribe to email updates, your address is sent to our mailing-list service on a double opt-in basis and used only to email you when something launches or changes in a big way. Stored until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email.Stored on our server. Kept until you delete it. Legal basis: consent. Removable when you delete your account. Shared with: Resend.

What we don't collect

We deliberately don't collect or store any of these:

Third-party analytics: the landing page does not include any tracking pixels, advertising, or analytics from another company
Cookies: the landing page sets none
Redirect tracking: project tiles link straight to each project's own domain, with no tracking parameters added

Third parties

These external services receive some of your data:

DigitalOcean — server hosting for the Lotlsoft landing
Resend — delivers the Lotlsoft newsletter (via the lotl-subscribe service); receives only subscriber email addresses

Your rights

You can export everything we hold about you, and delete your account at any time. Both options live in your account settings. Deletion is immediate and unrecoverable.
